From Planning to Delivery: My GAES Experience

This year, I was grateful to have the opportunity to take greater ownership of the preparation for the Golden Age Expo and Summit (GAES), from the early planning stages through to on-site execution. It was one of my first experiences leading a small project across the full process, and it offered many practical learning opportunities along the way.

Preparing for GAES involved much more than putting together an exhibition booth. From developing the content and design direction to coordinating the booth setup, manpower arrangements and preparation timeline, each stage required careful planning and communication. Working with different parties also gave me valuable experience in bringing different ideas, requirements and practical considerations together towards a common goal.

What I appreciated most was that this was very much a team effort. I am thankful to my team for giving me the opportunity and guidance to take on this responsibility, and to our project NGO partners and volunteers for their close collaboration throughout the preparation and event. I am also grateful to colleagues at CoA who supported us along the way.

The experience reminded me that even a relatively small project can involve many moving parts, and that good coordination, communication and teamwork are essential in bringing a plan into reality.
