Visiting Scholar Program

Welcome to Our Visiting Scholar Programme

The Sau Po Centre on Ageing invites distinguished scholars from mainland China and overseas to join our community as Visiting Scholars.  This programme is developed to foster academic exchange, engage research initiatives and projects, promote innovative research on ageing, and strengthen multidisciplinary and regional collaborations.

As a Visiting Scholar at Sau Po Centre on Ageing, you will have opportunity on:

Multidisciplinary engagement and collaboration with our multidisciplinary research teams.

Accessibility of research resources including our research facilities, datasets and academic resources.

Participation and co-organizing of knowledge exchange activities including seminars and conferences.

Networking and Connection to leading experts in ageing research.

Contribution to research and community outreach initiatives.

The visiting period is based on individual research plan, subject to the mutual agreement between our Centre and the visiting scholar.  The visiting scholar requires supporting expenses on their own travel and accommodation during their visiting period, as well as the application fee of visa.

The proposed fee covers cost of facilities, administration and IT support, and participation in centre activities.

We welcome submission from qualified researchers, academics and professionals with a strong interest in ageing-related topics.  Applicants should send the following to us:

Your up-to-date curriculum vitae

A research study plan of the visiting period, with the proposed start date of visiting

At least one reference or recommendation letter
